I thought I’d share some of the highlights of our trip to LA for Book Expo:
Ray Bradbury was at the author lunch. He got a standing ovation. And Art Spiegelman participated in a really interesting panel on graphic novels.
My pal Jessica Stockton Bagnulo (aka The Written Nerd) and I celebrated the Indie Bound announcement. Jessica is hoping to open her own store in Fort Greene in the near future, but for now works as the Event Coordinator at McNally Robinson in SoHo. She’s one of the smartest book people I know.
